News: Woman killed in hit-and-run on Congress Ave.
AUSTIN, TX – A woman died early Monday from injuries she sustained in a hit-and-run crash on Congress Avenue Sunday night, according to the Austin Police Department.
The crash occurred in the 5100 block of S Congress Ave, near Wasson Road, at 8:16 p.m., as 52-year-old Terryn Dee Strahan was walking near the roadway.
Police say Strahan was struck by the driver of an unidentified vehicle who then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
Strahan was taken to the hospital, where she died at 12:55 a.m. on Monday.

The crash, which is Austin’s 83rd fatal traffic collision of the year, remains under investigation at this time.
