News: Woman injured in speed-related crash on Esperanza Crossing in N Austin
AUSTIN, TX – One person was injured in a speed-related collision south of the Mopac Expressway in North Austin late Tuesday night, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash happened in the 2900 block of Esperanza Crossing, near Burnet Road, at 11:30 p.m., when the driver of a silver Nissan was traveling at an unsafe speed.
The Nissan then collided with a gray 2004 Toyota being driven by a 47-year-old woman.
The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Her passenger, a 23-year-old man, was not hurt.
It is unclear if the at-fault driver remained at the scene following the collision.
