News: Woman and 9-year-old possibly hurt in multi-vehicle crash on Parmer Ln

AUSTIN, TX – A woman and a 9-year-old girl were possibly injured during a multi-vehicle collision with a suspected drowsy driver on Parmer Lane last week, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The crash happened at 737 E Parmer Lane (FM 734), near Parmer Ridge Drive, at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of a blue 2002 Mazda, a 64-year-old man, reportedly dozed off while driving. The front of the Mazda collided with the rear of a green 1996 Ford driven by a 40-year-old woman. The Ford was then pushed into the rear of a black 2009 Kia being operated by a 38-year-old woman.

Two passengers in the Ford, a 47-year-old woman and a 9-year-old girl, were reported as possibly injured.

The three drivers and a third passenger in the Ford, a 15-year-old girl, was not hurt.

The driver of the Mazda was determined to be at fault.
