ELGIN, TX- A truck fire involving two 18-wheelers closed off a portion of the US 290 in Elgin early Monday morning, according to local news sources.

At approximately 5:00 am, two 18-wheelers crashed on the freeway near Southside Market and BBQ. The crash caused a significant fire, engulfing the trucks in flames.

Traffic was delayed in the area while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
