News Update: Victim of fatal West Austin rollover ID’d

AUSTIN, TX – The victim of yesterday’s fatal rollover accident in West Austin has been identified, reports KVUE.

Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a single-vehicle rollover at RM 2244 and River Hills Road yesterday morning. They pronounced the vehicle’s sole occupant dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Jackson Coker, a member of the 2019 Westlake football team.

Coker had been attending Columbia University and playing for its football team, but had returned home due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Friends and former teachers remembered Coker as an excellent student and an integral member of a Westlake team that won the 2019 state championship. A memorial to the former wide receiver has been erected at the school’s football field.
