News: Two women injured after driver runs red light on 15th and Rio Grande

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured after a driver allegedly ran a traffic light on Rio Grande Street earlier this week, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The crash happened at 1499 Rio Grande St, near W 15th Street, at 11:26 p.m. Monday, when the 30-year-old driver of a white 2014 Nissan allegedly failed to stop at a traffic light. The front of her vehicle collided with the front-right side of a gray 2018 Hyundai being driven by a 20-year-old woman.

Both drivers sustained possible injuries in the crash.
