News: Two construction workers hit, killed by driver on I-35 service rd
AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Police Department has identified one of the construction workers who was fatally struck by a driver on I-35 on Friday morning.
The department stated that the crash, which occurred at 9:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of the S I-35 southbound service road, claimed the life of 30-year-old Jeremy Singleton and another person, who has not yet been publicly identified.
The accident happened as Singleton and another construction worker were working in a grassy median near the service road. They were then struck by the driver of a northbound black Porsche.
Singleton and the second victim were declared deceased at 9:38 a.m.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time, which is Austin’s 106th fatal traffic collision for the year.
