News: Truck accident on I-35 near 8th St. sends motorist to hospital
AUSTIN, TX – One person was hospitalized this weekend following a multi-vehicle accident involving a semi truck and a car fire on I-35 downtown, per the Austin-Travis County EMS twitter feed.

A semi truck and a passenger vehicle collided on southbound I-35 near 8th Street at about 1:48 a.m. on Saturday, March 13. Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find that bystanders had already pulled a motorist from a burning vehicle. They transported that individual to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.
Austin Fire was called to the scene to put out the blaze.
No one else appears to have been injured in the collision, and EMS left the scene by 2:16 a.m.
