News: Traffic blocked on SH-71 in Wyldwood due to car vs. pole crash

WYLDWOOD, TX – Authorities have blocked the roadway after a car collided with a utility pole on State Highway 71 this afternoon and caused a power line to sag, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Austin.

The crash occurred on eastbound SH-71, near Pope Bend Road at about 4:30 p.m., when a driver crashed into a pole.

The impact caused a power line to drop too close to the roadway for traffic to pass.
