News: Person severely injured in early-morning pedestrian crash on Cesar Chavez
AUSTIN, TX – One person was hospitalized with severe injuries following a pedestrian accident in central Austin early Saturday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash occurred between 1000-1417 W Cesar Chavez Street at 3:57 a.m., when a driver crashed into a pedestrian.
The victim, who was reportedly unconscious after the accident, was declared a trauma alert. They were then taken to Dell Seton for the treatment of critical, life-threatening wounds.
The cause of the crash and the identity of the victim were not immediately available.
