News: Person killed in fiery car crash on Hwy 290 service road
AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed in a fiery car crash on the Highway 290 service road this afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash occurred in the 4600 block of the eastbound service road for W U.S. 290 at 4:13 p.m., when two vehicles collided. One of those automobiles then caught fire.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
While authorities initially believed that three victims were involved in the accident, no other people suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area near the scene if possible.
