News: Person injured during 14-vehicle pileup on I-35

AUSTIN, TX – One person was injured during a 14-vehicle pileup on I-35 this evening, according to information from Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened in the 6100 block of N I-35 southbound at around 6:50 p.m., when 14 vehicles collided on the icy roadway.

One person was treated at the scene for minor injuries and refused transport to the hospital.

No victims were taken to the hospital due to this incident.

Drivers were told to avoid travel on wintry roadways if possible and to be aware of the weather.

The crash remains under investigation.
