News: Person airlifted to hospital after being hit by boat propeller in Devil’s Cove
AUSTIN, TX – One person was hospitalized after being struck by a propeller on Lake Travis on Saturday evening, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident occurred in the Devil’s Cove area, near 5973 Hi Line Road at 8:32 p.m., when an adult victim was struck by a boat propeller. A tourniquet had been applied to the victim shortly after the accident.
Authorities brought the victim to shore and declared them a trauma alert. The victim was then airlifted to Dell Seton for the treatment of serious injuries to the lower extremities. The injuries were not thought to be life-threatening in nature.
