News: Pedestrian dies in hospital following collision on Airport Blvd
AUSTIN, TX – A man was hit by a vehicle as he crossed Airport Boulevard near the Mueller development on January 9. He died in the hospital two days later.
FOX 7 reports that Connor Avery Hughes was crossing Airport in its 4000 block when he was struck by a northbound Chevrolet Cruze at about 9:20 p.m. Emergency responders took Hughes to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he died on January 11.
Hughes was not in a designated crosswalk when he was struck.
The driver stayed at the scene. Police did not notice signs of intoxication, and do not believe speed was a factor. However, they continued to investigate the incident as of January 20.
