News: One killed in Upper Deck hit-and-run crash; driver arrested
AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police confirmed new details regarding the hit-and-run crash that happened on the Upper Deck on Friday, March 31st.
The collision occurred on the 2900 block of IH 35 North Upper Deck, on the southbound lanes, the Austin Police Department revealed.
Officials said that one driver of a passenger car crashed into an SUV, did not render aid or call 911, and immediately fled the scene. The driver of the passenger car, Milton Castanon Villatoro, was found and booked into custody for “Intoxication Assault and Fail to Stop and Render Aid.”
The SUV driver, Elias Saenz, was hospitalized and later succumbed to fatal injuries.
