News: No body found after reported train, pedestrian crash

AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a train in the area of West Mary Street and S 7th Street around 5:40 a.m. Monday. 

When first responders arrived at the scene, a body was not found, a tweet from ATCEMS showed. In an effort to locate the victim, emergency crews used a thermal imaging drone. 

After a couple of hours, officials were unable to find the body; the train left the scene around 8 a.m.

Updates will be posted when more information surfaces.
