News: Motorcyclist killed in Congress Avenue accident identified by officials

AUSTIN, TX- The man killed in a fatal motorcycle accident on June 26th has been identified by officials on Thursday, according to Fox 7 News Austin.

The man has been identified as 51-year-old Mitchell Lesley Pitman, who was struck by a 2021 Jeep Gladiator turning left onto Alpine Road. Pitman was in the left lane on Congress Avenue and the vehicle turned in front of him, causing Pitman to be ejected from the motorcycle. Officials arrived at the scene and transported him to St. David’s South Austin Hospital, where he died on July 6.
