News: Man injured after being rear-ended by allegedly distracted and speeding driver
AUSTIN, TX – A man was injured in a crash involving an allegedly speeding driver on Scofield Ridge Parkway this weekend, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash happened in the 2600 block of Scofield Ridge Pkwy, just east of the Mopac Expressway, at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, after the driver of a red 2014 Mercedes-Benz failed to maintain her attention on the roadway and failed to control the speed of her vehicle.
The Mercedes crashed into the rear of a silver 2011 Nissan being driven by a 44-year-old man.
The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries in the crash.
It is unclear if the other driver was hurt.
