News: Man dies after Nov 24 multi-vehicle crash on Rutland Dr, is ID’d by APD

AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Police Department has identified a man who died about two weeks ago from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash that happened last month on Rutland Drive.

According to the department’s news release today, the crash happened in the 1700 block of Rutland Drive, north of Rundberg Lane and south of Ledgewood Drive, on November 24 at 2:38 p.m., when five vehicles collided.

Three people, including 74-year-old Benino Robledo, were taken to the hospital following the crash.

On December 4, Robledo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident, which is Austin’s 105th fatal crash of the year.
