News: Man, 44, killed in Travis Co. hit-and-run crash on FM 973
TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of U.S. 183 Highway and FM 973 Saturday.
The collision was reported before midnight near Colton, CBS Austin revealed. According to an eyewitness, a driver of a 2014 to 2018 Cadillac struck a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle. The driver declined to render aid or remain at the crash site and fled the scene.
The impact of the collision caused the motorcycle to be dragged underneath the suspect’s vehicle for approximately three miles. The bike came to a rest before the SH 45 on-ramp.
The motorcyclist, an unidentified 44-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries.
