News: Killeen PD seek vehicle that struck child
KILLEEN, TX – Police are on the lookout for a black Dodge Charger with out-of-state plates which they believe struck and injured a 12-year-old on Tuesday.
ABC 25 reports that police received reports of a collision at the intersection of Chantz Drive and Aspen Drive shortly before 3:40 p.m. on January 26. They determined that the child was crossing Aspen in a designated crosswalk when he was struck by the westbound Charger, which then fled the scene.
KPD Sgt. Richard Bradley told reporters that hit-and-run crashes are common in the Central Texas city, estimating that they see at least 10 per week.
