News: Injury accident on I-35 near US 183 also affected traffic

AUSTIN, TX – The injury accident that drew a response from the Austin Fire Department yesterday also seriously impacted traffic on northbound I-35 near US 183, according to TxDOT Austin.

AFD responded to the collision at about 5:45 p.m., and TxDOT said that traffic had been diverted onto the feeder road via Exit 239 by 6:09 p.m.

Traffic began to flow a few minutes later, and the lanes completely reopened by 7:01 p.m.

We still don’t have any details on the cause of the crash or the nature of the injuries it caused. However, we will update this blog if that information becomes available.
