News: Driver injured in speed-related crash on SH-29 in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, TX – A young woman was injured in a speed-related crash on State Highway 29 in Georgetown this weekend, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The accident happened on SH-29 (University Avenue) near I-35 at 7:56 p.m. Sunday, as the 20-year-old driver of a red 2018 Ford was driving her vehicle at an unsafe rate of speed.

She then crashed, sustaining damage to the front end and right-back quarter of the vehicle.

The driver, who was the only reported occupant of the vehicle, sustained possible injuries in the accident.

No other vehicles or victims were immediately reported in the collision.
