News: Driver and passenger injured in speed-related crash on Cesar Chavez St

AUSTIN, TX – A driver and her passenger were injured in an alleged speed-related crash on Cesar Chavez Street on Friday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred near Red River Street and just west of I-35 at 7:44 a.m., after the 55-year-old driver of a silver 2010 Chevrolet reportedly failed to control the speed of her vehicle.

She then collided with a black 2015 GMC and a 2020 Ford.

The driver of the Chevrolet and her passenger, a 30-year-old woman, sustained possible injuries in the accident.

It is unclear if there were any injuries reported from the other vehicles.
