AUSTIN, TX – A child was hospitalized following a fall on a greenbelt trail near the Southeast Metro Park yesterday afternoon, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The incident occurred around Ross Road and State Highway 71 near the Southeast Metro Park at 4:20 p.m., after a child fell on the greenbelt and sustained injuries to their upper extremity.
Via the use of a big wheel device, the child was rescued from the trail and was then brought to Dell Children’s Hospital to receive treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
