News: Authorities ID victim killed in Oct 14 pedestrian crash on Hwy 290
AUSTIN, TX – Authorities have identified a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a driver while he was walking across Highway 290 earlier this month.
According to the Austin Police Department, the crash happened in the 6800 block of E Highway 290 westbound at 6:38 a.m. October 14.
62-year-old Lee Roy Pryor was walking across the highway when he was struck by the driver of a Honda Odyssey van. The driver remained at the scene.
Pryor was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident, which was Austin’s 92nd fatal crash of the year, remains under investigation.
