News: At least six injured in State Highway 71 pin-in collision

EL CAMPO, TX- A pin-in crash involving six victims and two trapped individuals occurred late Saturday on State Highway 71, according to Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

The collision occurred near the 4436-4494 area of State Highway 71 at approximately 11:36pm. The crash pinned two people inside a vehicle and injured six total individuals. The two pinned victims were extricated by officials and transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Two of the other four injured were transported to St. David’s South Austin with serious injuries, and the last two were transported with injuries that were not expected to be serious. Officials expected road closures and delays.
