News: 62-year-old man dies following car vs. bike crash in NE Austin
AUSTIN, TX – A man died recently of injuries he sustained in a car vs. bicycle crash earlier this month, the Austin-American Statesman reports.
The collision occurred at about 1:26 p.m. on Sunday, January 10. Elgin Earl Lahrmann, 62, was riding his bicycle east in the middle lane of the 1000 block of Anderson Lane when he was struck from behind by a black sedan.
The driver of the sedan fled the scene, leaving the victim in the middle of the roadway.
Emergency responders took Lahrman to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he died on January 15. The driver who struck him remains at large.
