News: 4 people, including 1 child, hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash in N Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Four people, including a child, were taken to the hospital following a four-vehicle collision in North Austin this weekend, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened at the intersection of N Lamar Boulevard and W Parmer Lane at 11:01 a.m. Saturday, when four vehicles collided.

One person was trapped within the wreckage for about 15 minutes. They were declared a trauma alert, and after being extricated from the crash, were taken to St. David’s Round Rock with possibly serious injuries.

A child was declared a trauma alert, then taken to Dell Children’s for treatment of possibly severe injuries.

Two additional people were taken to the hospital in North Austin with non-critical injuries.

Three other people refused treatment at the scene.

Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area and be aware of traffic delays.
