News: 3 teen boys and suspected drunk driver injured in late-night crash on I-35
AUSTIN, TX – Three teenage boys and a suspected drunk driver were injured in a crash on I-35 late Sunday night, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The crash happened on I-35, near Applegate Drive, at 11:33 p.m., as the 30-year-old driver of a white 2000 Toyota reported was driving while under the influence of alcohol. The front-right enc of his vehicle collided with the back-left end of a gray 2006 Toyota being driven by a 16-year-old boy.
Both drivers sustained minor injuries in the crash, as did two other 16-year-old boys riding as passengers in the Toyota.
