AUSTIN, TX – Two women were hurt after a driver allegedly ran a stop sign while driving under the influence near I-35 late Sunday night, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision happened near I-35 and Foremost Drive, near Centennial Park, at 11:06 p.m., as a 21-year-old woman was allegedly driving her white 2016 Toyota while under the influence. She reportedly was driving distracted as well, and she failed to yield at a stop sign.

The back-left quarter of her vehicle was struck by the front-right end of a white 2011 Chevrolet being driven by a 46-year-old woman.

Both drivers reported minor injuries in the crash.

The weather was rainy at the time of the accident.
