News: 2 people injured in early-morning collision on Hwy 183 and MLK Blvd

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured, one of them seriously so, during a crash on Highway 183 early Tuesday morning, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The crash happened at 4798 U.S. 183, near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (FM 969 Road), at 1:32 a.m., when the front of a blue 2009 Ford crashed into the front-left quarter of a gray 1999 Volkswagen.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 50-year-old woman, sustained severe injuries in the crash.

The other driver, a 31-year-old man, also experienced possible injuries.

The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
