News: 2 people injured in distracted-driving crash on Lamar Blvd

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured in a collision reportedly related to inattentive driving near the Crestview area on Sunday afternoon, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The crash occurred at 3:06 p.m. at a traffic light on N Lamar Boulevard, south of Highway 183, as the 58-year-old driver of a blue 2015 Honda failed to maintain their attention on the roadway. The left-back end of their vehicle was then struck by the front-right end of a gray 2020 Ford being driven by a 28-year-old woman.

The driver of the Ford and her passenger, a 63-year-old woman, sustained possible injuries in the crash.

The driver of the Honda was determined to be at fault.
