News: 2 people injured after driver reportedly runs stop sign on 5th St
AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured in a crash caused by a driver allegedly running a stop sign on 5th Street on Sunday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The crash happened in the 1900 block of E 5th Street, near Chicon Street, at 11:51 a.m., when the 26-year-old driver of a silver 2019 Chevrolet failed to yield at a stop sign. The back-left quarter of her vehicle was then struck by the front-left end of a red 2018 Ford.
A passenger in the Chevrolet, a 60-year-old man, and the driver of the Ford, a 42-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The other driver and her second passenger were not injured.
