News: 2 people injured after allegedly drunk driver runs red light on Stassney Ln

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured after an allegedly drunk driver ran a traffic light in the South Congress area early Saturday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The collision occurred near the intersection of W Stassney Lane and S 1st Street at 1:55 a.m., as the 33-year-old driver of a brown 2013 Dodge was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

The driver then ran a traffic light, and the front of his vehicle collided with the right side of a black 2013 Honda being driven by a 28-year-old woman.

The female driver and her passenger, a 32-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The at-fault driver was not hurt in the collision.
