News: 2 people, including 8-year-old, possibly hurt after 14-year-old driver crashes car

AUSTIN, TX – Two people, including an 8-year-old boy, suffered possible injuries after a 14-year-old driver collided with another vehicle in the Sweetbriar area this weekend.

According to MyAccidentReport, the collision occurred in the 6700 block of S Congress Avenue, near William Cannon Drive, at 5:34 p.m. Sunday.

A 14-year-old boy, operating a silver 2009 Nissan, reportedly failed to yield the right of way while turning left. He collided with a white 2015 Chevrolet being operated by a 25-year-old woman.

The female driver sustained what authorities believe to be minor injuries in the crash.

A passenger in the Nissan, an 8-year-old boy, received possible injuries.

The identities of the victims and the owner of the Nissan were not immediately released.
