News: 2 injured in crash after driver reportedly runs red light on 6th St

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured in a collision after a driver reportedly ran a red light on 6th Street on Tuesday morning, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash happened around 998 W 6th St near N Lamar Boulevard at 5:58 a.m., after the 47-year-old driver of a white 2016 Hyundai failed to stop at a traffic light. The left side of her vehicle was then struck by a gray 2016 Chevrolet being driven by a 51-year-old woman.

Both drivers sustained possible injuries in the accident.
