News: 2 injured after distracted driver collides with 2 parked cars

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Two people were reported as injured after a driver collided with two parked vehicles in northwest Travis County early Saturday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The accident happened at 993 Lipan Trail, near Aspen Drive in the Austin Lake Hills area, at 1 a.m., when the driver of a white 2013 Mercedes-Benz, a 20-year-old man, reportedly failed to pay attention to the road.

The front-right end of the Mercedes collided with the front right of a black 2008 Ford and the rear of a blue 2004 Honda. Both of those vehicles were vacant at the time.

The driver sustained possible injuries during the crash.

His passenger, a 21-year-old woman, is thought to have received minor wounds.
