News: 2 hurt in rear-end crash in Georgetown allegedly caused by drunk driver

GEORGETOWN, TX – Two people were hurt in a crash in Georgetown on I-35 that may have resulted from intoxicated driving early Monday morning, according to details from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash happened on I-35 near Airport Road at around 12:04 a.m., as the 31-year-old driver of a black 2019 Ram was reportedly speeding. The driver, who is believed to have been under the influence at the time, then crashed into the back of a white 2005 Sterling being driven by a 43-year-old man.

Both drivers sustained possible injuries during the crash.
