News: 2 dead, 1 injured in single-vehicle crash on I-35 service road early Sat. morning
AUSTIN, TX – Two people were killed, and another person was injured this weekend in a collision on the I-35 service road that may have been related to speeding, according to CBS Austin.
The collision happened on the southbound I-35 service road, near E 53rd Street, at about 4:20 a.m. Saturday, as a driver was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver was unable to make the on-ramp, then lost control of the vehicle. The car then collided with another object.
Two people died at the scene.
An additional victim was declared a trauma alert, then taken to Dell Seton to receive treatment for critical, life-threatening injuries.
The identities of the victims were not immediately available.
