News: 2 dead, 1 injured after fiery crash involving 18-wheeler, SUV on I-35
AUSTIN, TX – Two people died and one person was injured as a result of a fiery truck crash on I-35 this evening, according to KXAN.
The crash happened in the 5300 block of N I-35 southbound, near 51st Street at about 8:30 p.m., when a semi-truck and an SUV collided. The SUV then burst into flames.
Two people inside the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
