News: 2 children, 3 adults injured in distracted driving crash on Hwy 183
AUSTIN, TX – Five people, including two children, were injured in a collision on Ed Bluestein Boulevard involving an inattentive driver on Monday night, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred on Ed Bluestein Blvd/Highway 183, near Loyola Lane, at 10:13 p.m., when the 29-year-old driver of a black 2015 Chevrolet failed to maintain her attention on the road.
The back-left quarter of her vehicle was then hit by the 20-year-old driver of a black 2008 Honda.
The driver of the Honda and two juvenile passengers in the Chevrolet, an 11-year-old and a 13-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The driver of the Chevrolet and her 30-year-old female passenger suffered possible injuries.
