News: 2 adults and child injured in two-vehicle crash on FM 2001 in Buda

BUDA, TX – A woman, a man, and a young child were injured in a speed-related crash on FM 2001 Road in Buda on Friday evening, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash happened at 1081 FM 2001, near Calle Alta Road at 6:55 p.m., as the 21-year-old driver of a white 2014 Nissan failed to control the speed of her vehicle and to maintain her attention on the roadway.

The driver of a white 2008 BMW, a 30-year-old man, then made faulty evasive action, and the front of the Nissan collided with the right side of the BMW.

A passenger in the Nissan, a 3-year-old boy, sustained what are believed to be non-critical injuries in the accident.

Both drivers suffered potential injuries in the accident as well.
