News: 18-wheeler jackknifes on I-35 near Round Rock and causes delays, closures

AUSTIN, TX – An 18-wheeler truck jackknifed on I-35 this morning, leading to closures near Round Rock, according to KXAN.

The accident occurred on northbound I-35 near RM-620 before 5:45 a.m.

There is no word yet if the driver was injured during the crash.

While the cause of the accident was not immediately released, the freezing temperatures in the area likely played a role. Parts of I-35, north of where the crash occurred, were reportedly pre-treated early this morning.

Travelers are advised to stay off the roads if possible and to stay home.

The accident was cleared by 7:15 a.m.
