News: 16-year-old possibly hurt in speeding-related crash in Buda

BUDA, TX – A 16-year-old driver was possibly hurt in an accident possibly caused by unsafe driving speeds in Buda last week, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The accident occurred at 303 RM 967 at 2:51 p.m. Friday, when the driver of a silver 2020 Kia reportedly failed to control her rate of speed. The front-right side and right side of her Kia then collided with the front-left side and left side of a white 2018 Ford, operated by a 68-year-old man.

The teen driver, who had three teens and a 12-year-old riding as passengers, sustained a possible injury during the crash. Her passengers were not reported as hurt.

The second driver was unharmed.
