AUSTIN, TX – One person was airlifted to the hospital with serious wounds after being pinned against a tree following a crash on Wells Branch Parkway early this morning.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the collision occurred near the intersection of Dessau Road and E Wells Branch Pkwy at 2:54 a.m.

An initial report stated that a single vehicle crashed and overturned, causing one person to be ejected from the vehicle. They were then pinned beneath the wreckage of the car and against a tree.
The victim was unconscious and declared a trauma alert after being rescued by emergency crews.
The person was airlifted to Seton Williamson County Hospital for the treatment of serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
Authorities advised travelers to avoid the area and to expect heavy delays as they worked to clean up and investigate the scene.
